You should definitely check out the article as in addition to the review it has a nice set of photos. They're in a Flash app of some kind so I'm not sure how/where to grab them to post here.

I was going to post this but you beat me to it. That's a good review, esp. considering how picky those newspaper guys are. Did you guys notice the goofy brown Pop Tarts t-shirts they were all wearing during PDSTM? Some of them looked silly but Carly still looked great.

If Carly can make that Pop Tarts promotional clothing look good, she can make anything look good. :D

HAHA!!! I love looking for good Carly reviews and posting them here. I guess it's kinda my hobby. I know that Shelly is going to put them in an after tour scrapbook for Carly, so every one helps-I think it will be a huge confidence booster for her to see how much people loved her performances (and her).

Yes, does anyone know how we can pull those pictures off? I really want some of Carly in her Pop Tart shirt! :)

And BTW, I loved Michael in his ripped-like-Carly's shirt...:lmao:

I know it-Michael looked so cute with his shirt cut up just like Carly's. Hers looked great on her (as always). I'm not sure how to get the picture copied over. I could ask someone from MJ's blog for advice, but I'm not leaving comments there anymore after what happened the other day when I defended Carly. Did Cherly tell you about it-it was awful?

I'm going to attempt to get the pics now, might not work though.

I watched that earlier and I left a comment about how good the quality is. The sound is awesome and it's so close up. Plus Carly sounds (and looks) incredible. I just love how she flips her hair around and throws her arms out-so powerful and dramatic!!! Does anyone know how to make an MP version of this? I'd love to burn it onto a cd.

That would be great if we sent it to Simon. We could put a note with it that says "Now here's someone that looks like (and is) a star!!!". Remember when he told her she didn't look like one, well I bet he's eating his words now. Anyways, here's a review that I found in Archie's IDF forum from Holdingon2Jesus :

Carly -- 10/10 -- Carly was AMAZING!!!!!!!! I loved her. I felt like this was when the show was finally beginning. Her whole set was incredible.

The best time of my life!!!! All the idols have come such a long way. I must say the best ones of the night would have to be Cook, Carly, & Archie. Their voices stand out in the bunch! They are just in a league of their own. All the idols though have improved! Chickezie was the best person to start off the show. I was never a big fan of his until now! He has so much energy and has an amazing voice!!! He had me on my feet the entire time. Ramiele and Syesha were awesome, they had the best songs of the night, just wish they did a little but more with their songs than what they did, but still good. Kristy was fun. She's a total country girla nd stuck to her roots the entire night. Jason and Brooke were the chill laid back people of the night. They have such soothing voices, I really enjoyed them. MJ was hysterical as always. MAVID of course was in town! Love it!
The group numbers were awesome, liked the short but sweet Carly & MJ reunion in the first group number.
Awesome night!!!! Cant wait for their albums to come out!

I was a bit disappointed with this year's idol tour concert. I wanted to see a lot of dancing and group performances. Unfortunately there wasn't any dancing and their were only 2 group performances. I was upset with that. The idols all did a great job though, their voices have all gotten a lot better! I liked that they each sang more than one solo but I did want to see more from the entire group. THe concert was a bit short too. Only about 2 hours. I still had a lot of fun but it just wasn't what I expected.

Chickezie- Great start to the show. Very energetic. My big teddy bear!
Ramiele- cute as a button...voice has improved..nice dance moves girl!
MJ- crazy fun..he can work the crowd like nobody's business. FUN FUN FUN!
Kristy- country all the way..I loved her performances, very authentic.
Carly- strongest voice of the top 10! Incredible singer! Simply the best!
Brooke- sweetest person ever..awesome voice..she's so genuine!
Jason- hottie!!! hasn't improved much but who cares, he's so charming!
Syesha- powerful singer...Loved "Listen", best song she sang.
David A- Powerful singer..had the crowd going nuts! Great aongs choices.
Cook- the best american idol yet! Down to earth and just a anice guy. Great voice!
The first group number "In the Name Of Love"...awesome! Featured Chickezie down through Brooke. Carly and MJ stole the show!
Last group number was the best topper of the night. "Please Dont Stop the Music".

First of all...to Shelly, Cheryl, and Mel- did you see the interview with Carly on Fox Grand Rapids???? She mentioned you guys. I kind of know that girl doing the interviews (Emily Richett) and I had a long phone conversation with her the night before about Carly, Chikezie, and Syesha and gave her some background on each of them. I told her about this site! Also, that's why when she's talking to Chikezie she mentions that a fan told her it was Chikezie and Carly's birthday coming up. :D

Alright! Here are my carly parts of my review!!

Carly was the 2nd person off the bus, waved, and went straight into the venue. Besides Kristy, Brooke, Chikezie, and Archie, no other idols came out to sign stuff. Carly ran out once to get her boots and yelled "sorry guys I have press!".

Carly was next! I love when she comes out on stage and starts rocking out "bring me to life". I was singing along so loud for her! Then she comes running down the stairs to do Crazy on You. Since we were in 8th row I felt like we were SO close to her but she still hadn't spotted us in the crowd. Finally, when Crazy on You was almost over, I held up my sign really high and she pointed. Drove all night was fun too and we cheered very loud for our girl Carly. I just love her. I almost cried at the beginning of "crazy on you". I've seen her 3 times now, and last night was the best I've ever heard her!

Then we finally made it back to Carly. I was so excited to get to talk to her again!! When we walked up her face lit up and she said "HEY! Did you have the flag?" I told her I had a sign that looked like the flag and she said "I saw you ! you were right in the front, right? Yeah! I saw you. I saw you more last time, but I saw you tonight too". She signed our pictures, gave us hugs, and opened our gift. As she was reading the list of songs I had put on the cd I made her she said "the ataris! I lived with a guy from the ataris!". I told her Cheryl and Melanie say hello and she said "I'm going to see them soon! I'm going to see my mom soon too. We're thinking about getting tattoos.". When I handed her the picture to sign she stared and it and very loudly said "oh my god i'm starting to look like my mom" hahaha. I gave her a copy of our picture and we told her this was our last show. She said it was getting near the end for them too, but there was lots of exciting things coming up for all of them, including a Carly and Michael duet!

As we were leaving
We kind of ran into Carly and I asked if I could have one more picture and she said of course and hugged me. As she was leaving she said "I'll see you…COME TO ANOTHER SHOW!" and walked away laughing. Sorry Carlicitia, I'm done with Idol shows. :thumbsdown:

Carly blew me away again. She’s got a set of unbelievable pipes on her. I got video of Bring Me to Life and Crazy OnYou from the front row.

Pride (In the Name of Love) was fantastic. We all laughed when the announcer said, “Give it up for the 2nd biggest Pop Tart I know, Mr. Michael Johns!” I love me some Marly dueting.

I've send several message to Simon. I've been inviting him to dinner at our house. I wanted to know how he likes his crow prepared. He hasn't responded.

Your review is awesome, glad you had such a great time and got to meet Carly ^_^
