Hey Everyone my name is Jen, I just wanted to tell you about my experience of bumping into Carly in Minneapolis. I'm just going to copy my blog from myspace. Whenever I think of it, I still get a huge smile on my face..




So yesterday was one day I will NEVER forget, I can't even begin to explain how wonderful it was, and how truly touched I was by not just the idols, but the people I met all throughout the day. My friend Tammy and I got there at 11:00 and there was a good crowd formed already. Eventually Cook came out first, to get some peanut butter cups out of the bus haha. I DONT agree with this, and it's totally crazy, but a mob of girls, and yes a couple of adults ran across the street, without even looking just to run to him at the bus. I swear this one lady came within 5 feet of getting hit by a Ford Explorer. It's not enough that they will be coming down the line shortly to sign autographs for us? You have to risk your life to run over to him while he get's chocolate? I'm sorry but that was just a big WTF when i saw that, and I know others felt the same way. Well around 1:30 David Cook was the first to come down the line, he signed for EVERYONE it was crazy, as he got closer to us, man I was being beat up against that guard rail, haha. When he came up to me, he signed my shirt, and my drumsticks. I asked him for a pic, and we ended up swapping sunglasses lol. I gotta be honest, I don't think he can see in those, i put them on it was hazy, and covered in sweat, but i think it's totally wrong that I still enjoyed it haha. He was totally sweet to do that with me, and I'll never forget that. Next up was Kristy, she flew down the line so quick, she was very nice, and she's a pretty girl. Jason is a total goofball, but man could you get lost in his eyes, very nice guy. Archie is so darn cute, you just want to pinch his cheeks, very nice guy as well. Oh i gotta say I don't know if she's on this board, but a lady stood next to me and said can you sign my shirt as well, unlike mine being on the back, she wanted him to sign just above her right boob lol, oh the look on archie's face ahaha! he said ummmmm for what seemed like ages, but told her he'd go a lil higher and sign up by her neck lol. Brooke was the last to come out and said no one would be coming after her because they all had press, we were bummed, so my friend wanted to go back to the car, and I wanted to go check something in the ticket office. I swear everything happens for a reason, when we came back out of the window office 20 minutes later(at this point its like 3:45) There was Carly, Michael, and Chikeze making their way down the line. I start freaking out again, i tell my friend i'm gonna go stand at the end here, by the...garbage bin? oh great..lol For those of you that don't know I adore Carly, she's my idol! So my hands were shakin as she got closer. I told her hi, and as she signed my 8x10, I reached down for her gift. I had framed a 11x16 sepia photo of the whole cast of Almost Famous standing in front of the infamous bus in the movie(this is like her favorite movie) She starred at it so long, and didn't say a word that i'm thinking "oh crap did i pick the wrong movie, shit"? haha She screamed so loud OMG, that I look around and people stopped what they were doing and the look of fright on their faces was priceless haha. She said "Omg, this is for me, shut up, this is the coolest thing ever" She looked me right in the eyes and goes "You're coming to the afterparty!" I start freaking out, and she writes down my name and Tammy, I couldn't even talk, and oh man I will never forget that moment, EVER. She did the sweetest thing, and I will always be thankful for that.

I wont' say too much about the show, cause you guys all know how it went, it was amazing!!! The mavid was hillarious. Of course Carly stole the show, and there was a personal reason behind "I drove all night" I won't go into details, because it's just too sad at the moment to talk about.

So backstage...I didn't relize it was such a big crowd! I talked to Jason first, I gave him a hug, and he's just a sweet guy, I even told him "You guys should all bring Carly to O'Donnavon's", he said he would mention it to the guys. Syesha didn't want to talk and just mouthed things, ok moving on then...lol. I had a great long talk with Carly, and soon as I stepped up to her she went in for a hug, and said she was so glad I could make it. I got 2 hugs, and I just love her accent!, makes me miss my family back home in Italy. I sadly said goodbye to her, and gave her another hug, thanking her again for everything. I went to Cook next, he goes "oh it's you, you almost didn't want to give me my glasses back earlier" haha, whoops. We talked for a little bit, I told him about O'Donnovans as well, then he called some guy over and whispered something in his ear, have no idea what that was about. I gave him a hug, and took a pic with him, and his back was all sweaty, but I didn't mind one bit! I told him thanks so much for everything, and he said it was an honor for all of them to be with us. They are all the sweetest, most humble people. Enough good things can't be said especially for David and Carly. I owe Carly a huge thank you, for making yesterday one of the best times of my whole life.

not very often. but shes the girl who met carly on her sweet 16 and carly gave her those beautiful red pumps that are signed, and she got m&g passes from carly, and tons of pics, and carly called her. lol.

Oh okay! I heard about the whole shoe thing, I just didnt know who got them :P But yeah she is definetly very lucky ;) I'm probably number 15 or so, since I did go backstage and talk with Carly for about 20 minutes and get my picture with her :D

We went before the show and all 4 of us had the same green shirt with the slogan TEAM CARLY on the front and a clover on the back right shoulder. We also made a huge poster (4ft by 3ft) and Carly said it was the biggest one she has seen for her since the tour began! When she saw us holding that up she told "Big Dave" to give us AP passes! :D
