When they talked about this being the most talented class of Idols yet, they were talking about her. By far, best vocalist of this year not named David Archuleta. I have yet to understand why she didn’t connect any better than she did. Could she have made top 2 if she wore long sleeves? Someone else will have to figure this out; I can’t. I didn’t like her on the show, but would I buy her record now? Absolutely.
And here's a review (sort of) from Rita 205 of the Bossier show (on MJ's blog)-she didn't review the performances since she was sitting in a noisy suite and couldn't hear the music very well, but she did comment on Carly's wonderful stage presence :
I agree with everyone who has written about Carly and Brooke - they seemed genuinely happy to be on stage, and interacted more with the crowd than, really, anyone else (including Cook!). Carly is just happy to be on stage, she has lost that glaring, trying-too-hard look. And she is in such good shape! On “Crazy on You”, she kept doing squats down to the ground and coming right up! I would have been on my knees!

I thought Michael and Carly were amazing! For me they were the best part of the first half of the show.From my viewpoint they brought the excitement back after Ramiele pretty much destroyed all the excitement Chikezie had built up.
I asked her for more details on Carly's performances, so here's what she said :
Carly’s set was absolutely amazing. She hit every note perfectly. My favorite was I Drove All Night, but others that were with me liked Bring Me To Life or Crazy On You best. All three songs were great. She’s much smaller in person and is drop dead gorgeous and has the most beautiful skin!
I am so hoping MJ and Carly do well because I really want to listen to those two amazing voices for a long time.
