At this point, I'd like to hear people's thoughts on whether they like this board and want it to stick around. I visit all the Carly boards and it seems (due to low participation HERE) that people prefer posting on IDF and AI.com. I agreed to moderator this board because I know AI.com will close at the end of the Tour. I really don't want to force this board on Carly fans if it's not something you guys want or need. Posts and participation on this board have really decreased lately and I have no idea why... ??

As I stated in another thread, I'd hate to lose the Carly family that I've formed here but I will always do what's in the best interest of the fandom.

Discuss away...

I'm doing my best, but when there's no participation, it's natural for people to head to where the participation exists.

AI.com will soon be merged to the general board, it's already half dead now...and IDF, I love Carly's IDF forum, I believe it's the most active Carly forum at the moment, but I don't know what will happen to her folder once season 8 begins.
either way, this board NEEDS to stay alive. it's the only Carly forum thats not a part of an AI community.

I'd love to see a new design though :party: change the colors a bit..more bright maybe? :flower:

I don't go to IDF much for two main reasons:

1. It constantly freezes up my computer because of the ads AND...

2. There are things that are said/posted there that I don't think are respectful toward Carly and/or Marie.

I post here quite a bit. I only joined a month ago and currently I'm the 2nd ranked poster :D . This is my favorite forum. I've only visited IDF a few times (I'm not a member) and I don't like the ad-bots.

:o I thought that my computer freeze everytime i'm on IDF cause it's just stupid. Didn't know the ads are causing this.

this is a wonderful forum, it just needs more participation, I don't know why Carly fans don't post much. Maybe they're shy? :P

Maybe on the main Carlys Angels page with all the news you could make the wee forum button or whatever you call it a bit more noticable. It doesnt really stand out and people might not notice it. And thats why they never make it to this wonderful section on the site :D

And now the bad news. All along I had planned to go early and meet the idols. For 3 1/2 months now, I've been telling my wife and daughter about this (they are going too). And now my wife has voluntered to do something at church, so we may not get to go early. We can't stay after the concert because my daughter starts school.

I'd hate to lose this forum Shelly, especially since the other two will be less prominent once the tour is over. I know I haven't posted a lot here, but I'll make more of an effort :yes:

I love IDF (and the ads don't affect my computer, so it doesn't annoy me so much) for general random chat, but as a place to centre the fanbase after her AI commitments end, I'd much rather have here.

Shelly, teeny-weeny complaint. If I'm looged in but inactive for a while, it auto-logs me out. Can something be done about that?

Jay - It never logs me out so it's probably your computer settings. I did look under the board setttings and can't find a place to change this. :blink:

Have you got the 'remember me' box ticked when you log in - it never logs me out when i check that box.

No I don't. I don't recommend doing that. It's a security risk (albeit minor).

I only do it on this computer because I clear the history, cookies etc. each day and then that logs me out, it just keeps me logged in when I'm online.

This is the only forum that does the auto-log-out to me. *shrugs*
But it's no biggie.

not a big fan of the IDF. but I havent visited that much, so I'll give it a chance.

Hmm...I don't have a lot of time so I'll end up having to come back again, I gotta leave for work soon, BUT... I have a few ideas that might be able to help this forum catch more attention from fans.

I love this forum and I honestly think it can become the main forum source for Carly fans, Carly, her family, and friends. This forum does have so much potential and I do not want to see it fail, because this could be THE place that can not only help the fans stay together, but help Carly of course!

I was actually talking to someone the other day about the Carly chat that was on her myspace, but with a few bashers and wannabe Carly's lurking around it had to be deleted, which did sook because fans loved it immensely!

So, one of the ideas that I will mention now is... Shelly how about we get a chatroom and do live chats on certain days that would be good for everyone. Not saying anyone can't go in anytime, because it will probably become a huge hit at the beginning and constantly be busy, but it's a little something extra to do for fans.

That's it for now... I have to get to work or i'm going to be late! :haha:

P.S. By the way I love all the other fansites and fanforums, I think they are absolutely amazing, any forum or fansite created to support Carly I will go to and show support on!

may i suggest some things i think will do good to the boards?
i think we need to narrow down the forums, it just has too many that it gets confusing sometimes...

projects forums. in my opinion all the projects sould be in one forum, the camera, the cookbook, the wristbands, everything together. the birthday projects should have their own forum until a few days after the big day. then it should be merged to the projects forum.

other musicians, entertainment and american idol forums should go to the off-topic forum in my opinion..american idol after all is about to become an off-topic thing. if theres anything carly related it would just be posted in the carly forum :D

and young carly, i think it should be taken off...

that is all :D needless to repeat that this is just my opinion..you guys are the ones to decide...
it would just feel much more in order that way i think... :)
