I was going to post this last night, but I couldn't get internet at the hotel, so I just typed it out and saved it.
Well, first things first. CARLY RECOGNIZED ME!!!! It wasn't like I told her who I was and she remembered, she walked up to me and goes "Oh, it's you! Bailee right?". And I about died. Anyway, more about that later.
So I get up this morning, far before the sun was up, and I get ready, blah blah blah, go pick up Emily, (who is a Jason fan, by the way). This obviously doesn't relate to the concert or Carly at all, but it was funny, so I'm going to include it. We were only like...10 minutes away from home, going into Carbondale and there are 3 lanes, I'm in the center lane and there's a car like...50 yards in front of us. So this cop pulls out behind the guy in front of us, tailgates him for like 1/2 a mile, then there's one of those signs that tells you how fast you're going, and the speed limit was 30, and he was going 32, and the cop pulled him over!! It was hilarious. Annnyway.
On to more Idol related things. So we get to the venue at around 12:30 or so, meet up with Jamie (she was saving us spots right up next to the fence) and we wait for a couple hours. Then the buses finally get there, and Carly and Kristy were the first to come out. And it was so cute, they were both jamming to Carly's iPhone. I didn't get a pic though, I don't think. :( So Carly got this present, and I won't go into too many details because this girl who gave it to her annoyed the crap out of me and I don't want this to become a rant. Annyway, so she takes that inside, meanwhile, Kristy comes by us, and so did Archie, then Carly!!! So basically, here's how it went:
Carly: Oh, it's you! Bailee, right?
Me: Yeah, you recognized me! That totally made my lifetime.
Carly: Oh, of course I did! I read all your stuff online.
(At this point I looked at her a little funny, thinking she had stumbled into some of the threads on IDF that she really shouldn't see).
Carly: I mean, I take a lot of the pictures off your website, since I never get to take any myself. It was good to see you again though, I'll talk to you tonight.
(She was in a major rush, I think she had a bunch of press stuff to do).
But then I got a hug, so it was all good.
So then boring, boring. Lots of waiting. Then Jason and Brooke came out, they started at the other end, then David Cook kind of snuck out, I really don't think a lot of people realized he was there for the longest time. Anyway, so I got his autograph, then he moved along, again, they were all really rushed. Except Brooke, of course, haha. So Jason finally got to us, he signed my program, Emily got his autograph. And let me tell you, she is such a Jason fangirl. Seriously. He went down the line, then on his way back, while we were STILL waiting on Brooke, Emily got a picture with him, which was super adorable. And then Brooke finally got to us, she signed my program. And that was all that came out. Then we left, went to starbucks, sat in a park and watched kids play in a fountain. Then the hell of trying to get my passes, I guess Carly forgot to put my name on the list, so they had to track her down and ask her and it was a nightmare, but we finally got them, thank God. Cause I was going to go find her myself if they told me I wasn't getting passes.
I'm going to skip most of the stuff on the concert because it's mostly the same as last time. I don't know if I said it before or not, but I love being a fan of the underrated contestants. Because my seat was literally, about 5 feet from the catwalk. I was on the end, in the fifth row, right next to it. So when Carly's out, I wasn't really crowded at all, I got some AMAZING pictures. Like seriously, I definitely made up for what I didn't get last time. I was more impressed with Chikezie this time than last, I thought he performed better. Ramiele was pretty much the same as last time. Michael was gorgeous and amazing, as always. Kristy, I actually liked a lot more than last time, granted, I sat through half her set to get ready for Carly time, but still. Carly. I don't think I even need to say anything. Amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing. And her hair was straight, by the way, which I was super happy about. But I think amazing is pretty much the only word I can use to describe her tonight. Brooke, again I was a lot more impressed with than last time. I got some great Marly pics during the group number. Intermission still sucked. Jason was great, as always. Syesha was...Syesha. Still boring for my taste and still needs to put some clothes on. Archie, I was more impressed with than last time, though I almost got killed by a few of his fans a couple times. And Cook was about the same as last time, awesome.
So then, after party! So I go in, of course, immediately run over to Carly. She looked like she was talking to a fan, but then she waved at me and said hi, so I just kind of forced my way in there.
Carly: So, you want a picture?
Me: Of course! Why else do you think I'm here?
(She lauged, Emily takes the picture)
Me: You were incredible tonight, by the way...not that you aren't always.
Carly: Well thank you. Where were you sitting?
Me: 5th row.
Carly: Oh, I didn't see you tonight...I saw you last time.
Me: Really? Cause I was really far back.
Carly: Oh you were? I could have sworn I saw you.
Me: Maybe you did. It was probably just because we have that kind of bond.
Carly: Yeah, that was probably it.
(Then some other fans came up and wanted to get pics with her, so I took them, then Carly joked that I could be her official photographer. Um, hello? Could you ask for a better job!?)
But then some other girls came up and Carly was like, go, mingle, I'll be here when you're done. So I go with Emily to stalk Jason, she gets a pic with him. Then she hovers around Jason while I hover around Carly, but I didn't want to interrupt her, so I attempted to mingle. So then Ramiele's line was pretty short, so I finally got her autograph, the last one I needed on my program, and got a pic with her. Then we wait in line for Cook. He and Emily had a moment, haha. Then it was really depressing, because Carly left! I didn't even get to say goodbye. :( So I was depressed for a minute, but we decided to go see Michael. He signed my program, then I got a pic with him, then we had a Marly, without Carly there, moment.
Me: You know, I have more pictures with you than I do with Carly, how crazy is that?
Michael: Well, that's because I'm better.
Me: Riiiight.
Michael: It's true, ask anyone.
Me: Well, you should tell her she needs to stay in here longer next time. She left already.
Emily: Tell Jason too.
Michael: Well, you see, that's because I actually care about my fans, unlike Cah-ly. Don't tell her I said that.
Me: Oh, I will.
Michael: You better not.
And that was pretty much the end cause some other people walked up. But it was almost Marly. Ish. Then we went and talked to Brooke, who was sweet as always. Then we attempted to meet Archie, we actually stood there listening to him attempt to form a sentace for a good five minutes or so, but Emily did get a pic with him. I wanted one too, but he was taking too long and Cook called him over so we went over to Syesha. She signed my program, I got a pic with her, so did Emily. Then we tried to get my pic with Archie again, which another 10 minutes later, we finally got. Then we left.

So cool, Bailee, so cool. I'm only slightly jealous... :haha:
BTW, did you know I'm going to Evansville? Bought my ticket last night. :w00t: But it's a nine and a half hour drive so pray for me... ;)

9 and a half hours? Have fun! The five hours yesterday about killed me. Luckily Evansville is the closest one, it's only about 2 hours.
Yeah, and I'm SO not good in the car. Especially when I'm by myself. I've driven over 7 hours to a concert before and that was bad enough. Pray for me that I don't go INSANE... :haha:
Oh same here. I'm really glad Emily was with me because I know if I would have gone alone, I would have been talking to myself and doing other things that might make one seem crazy by the time I got there.
Oh, I'm fairly certain that I'll be crazy by the time I get there. :lmao: But I'm arriving Wednesday night so I have about 12 hours to un-crazy myself...
Wow Bailee sounds like you had an awesome experience!!!! Like Shelly, I am only a little bit jealous... lol. I might get the chance to go see her again in September! I really hope so! Can't wait to see your pics!!
