American Idols Live Tour: Manchester August 10, 2008

Before the Show:
My mom and I arrived at the arena around 11:45 or so. There were quite a few people there and they kept arriving shortly after. We then got a spot next to the door in which they’d be coming out. We waited until I believe 2:00 or so until all of a sudden we see Brooke come out and instantly started signing. Wow, I must say she’s really beautiful. She was really sweet, I continued to tell her how beautiful she was and she said thanks and moved on. After meeting her she had became another favorite. It’s all sort of a blur in my mind, but I believe it was David Cook who had came out after her and he started on the other side of the line. My mom was excited, he was her favorite and she got a picture with him. She was really glad. Then Kristy had got to us and she’s very nice, I didn’t really say much to her so she just continued down the line. All of a sudden I hear screams and then comes Michael Johns and all the girls were swooning over his accent. There was a girl in the crowd that had given him something that was yellow and fuzzy and you throw it on the ground and he jumps around, security broke it shortly after. Shame on them. All of a sudden popped out David Archuleta and the girls went wild, he’s really shorter than he looks. But, he seemed pretty cool. The security people then said it was all over and I was bummed Carly had not come out. So, we proceeded back to the car to get something to eat and we came back 10 minutes later because we saw that the door was still open and people were still hanging around and Jason was there signing autographs and girls were pulling on his dreads. We then went for a little walk and came back and Jeff Archuleta was talking with 4 or 5 people about David and his perspective of the Idol show. He seemed really nice, nothing like what people make him out to be.

The Show: (I’m not going to go into too much detail with some people.)Chikezie Eze – I must say he knows how to rally up a crowd. He did really great and he had surely proved himself.
Ramiele Malubay – She did wonderful.
Michael Johns – He got the first loudest scream of the night, everyone was on their feet and having a great time. He was certainly a highlight of my concert experience.
Kristy Lee Cook – She’s a greater country singer than I pegged her out to be, I can honestly say that I think she’ll be a great success in the country industry. Not as successful as Carrie, but still successful.
Carly Smithson – When Carly’s name appeared on the screen I jumped up and down and I was really excited and all of the sudden the music started playing and she arose from the stage and the crowd was wild. She did a wonderful job with BMTL, however when she took time to talk to the audience she seemed sick. I could really tell her Irish accent. Crazy on You was phenomenal! I Drove all Night got all the women up on their feet, I even stood up. Just because it’s Carly. She was awesome! Like, words actually can’t even describe it. She was a highlight of the night.
Brooke White – She was totally in her element. She did awesome on Let It Be and then when 1,2,3,4 came she wanted us all to snap at that part. She said no one recently has been. So I snapped during the whole performance of that song. Yellow was awesome, she dedicated it to all the people wearing yellow for the night.

Intermission:
Blah, I went to go get stuff at the stand. Carly photo and poster and tour book. Missed all of the intermission.

The Show: (Continued)
Jason Castro – Awesome.
Syesha Mercado – Spectacular!
David Archuleta – My ears hurt from all the nearby screams. He’s improved so much from being on the show, I actually felt like he has more of a personality then he did on the show.
David Cook – Rocked the house! Everyone was up. He broke his guitar string during one song, don’t remember which song. But, other than that his performances were golden!

After the Show:
My mom and I were just going to go home but we decided to give one more try to meet Carly, and it was amazing. We got a part near the fence and I got Brooke, David A, Kristy, Jason, Carly, and Syesha autograph. They were all great and I told them how much they did well. We then left after Carly had come. I was completely satisfied with the night and how it went.

Ok, so my American Idol adventure began at 9:30AM waiting to meet the Idols before the show. The busses arrived around 2:15PM, and Brooke White came out shortly after arriving. She was sooo sweet! I gave her a bracelet with her name on it, and she loved it! She had me help her put it on, but it was a failed attempt because I was shaking so much. But I got a picture with her and an autograph. Next out was Kristy Lee Cook, and as she was on her way down the line David Cook walked out and went straight to th end of they VERY long line. Kristy came by, but was not doing picture, so I got a hug and an autograph. Archie came out next and he is just adorable!!!!! He was not doing pictures either, but I got a hug and an autograph. He was complaining about how long his shirt was!! It was soo cute. So then Michael Johns came out, he is even hotter in person!! I love his accent and he is hilarious!!!! Sadly he was not doing many pictures either but I got a hug *squee* and an autograph. Once MJ finished with us David Cook had made it here to, and when they saw eachother they were goofin off. MAVID!!! Cookie got to me, and by now it was raining, but he and MJ stayed out! DC was just amazing!!! I got a hug, a couple pics, and 2 autographs from him!! He stayed out with the fans for about 2 hours!! Once MJ and Cookie had gone inside I had to wait around because I NEEDED to meet Carly Smithson. Jason came out, in the rain, and did pics autographs and hugs. He was so cool, and he let me and my friend touch his dreads!!! After he left no one else was coming out and I was just crushed that Carly couldn't make it out!! I was quite angry with the rain, and just in tears So we left to go eat for the first time that day.

Coming up...... Concert Time!!!!

So me and my group walk into the arena and head straigh for the souvenir table, and after spending a fortune, I go find my seat. It was awesome!! I was at the very end of the stage where they come to the side of the stage! I could touch their hands!!! And then the concert starts!!

CHIKEZIE- He did a great job opening up the show! He really got the place going!! I loved his rendition of Caught Up, it was great. He has really improved since his days on Idol!! He came over to our side and I got to touch his hand!

RAMIELE- She was a lot better then I thought she would be!! She too has improved a lot!! She sounded great, and she seemed to be having a lot of fun up on stage!! She came over to our side aswell, but her arms were not long enough to reach me.

MICHAEL JOHNS- WOW he was Amazing!! Opening up his set with We Will Rock You/We are the Champions was awesome!!!! And Dream On was my favorite of his!! He was really comfortable up onstage!

KRISTY LEE COOK- She sounded great, I loved her country song, it really suited her voice well! My favorite part of her set was when she sang God Bless the USA, it was very powerful!

CARLY SMITHSON- OMIGOD I LOVE HER!!!!!!!!!!! She was the highlight of the Concert!! Her version of Bring Me to Life was just outstanding!! The second she came up through the floor I was in tears!! She looked like a Star up there. Crazy on You was my favorite song from her set, the soft yet powerful beginning was just perfect, and then busting out in full on rocker mode, with her great kick to the audience was just awesome!!! She hit those high notes perfectly! And then to finish off her set she sang I Drove All Night, I loved this song on the show and I loved it even more Live in conert!! She was having a blast up there, and the crowd loved her!!! She was great with interacting with everyone there!!

BROOKE WHITE- Her entrance with the piano was awesome. I was really excited to hear Let It Be, I had been looking forward to it! She sounded awesome with all of her songs! She too looked like she was having a great time!

Group Number- I loved every bit of this performance, especially the small Carly and MJ (MARLY) duet in the middle of the song! It was great!!

JASON CASTRO- He played on the guitar the whole time which I was a bit bummed about, but he sounded awesome! Somewhere Over the Rainbow was fantastic! He sounded a lot better now then he did on the show!!

SYESHA MERCADO- I'm not a big fan of hers' but she really rocked it! Umbrella was my favorite of her set, it was a really fun performance!! She really belted out her songs, and sounded great!

DAVID ARCHULETA- I love him way more now than I did on the show! He sounded awesome, and he was great with the crowd! He came over to touch our hands and was really having a great time! I loved Apologize, he really has an excellent voice!

DAVID COOK- He was AWESOME! Opening up with Hello was great! He reall got the crowd going wild. He was so much fun too! He jumped up on the bars on the sides during one of his songs and it was hilarious!! He worked the micstand a lot too! I loved all of his performances, he really is a rockstar!!!!

Coming Up..... Afterparty!!!!!!!!!!!

OH BUT WAIT!!!! There is more!!!!

The Afterparty was the greatest thing that has ever happened to me!!! The guy that gave my mom and I the passes, Michael LaMelle is the Guitar hero guy there, and he told Carly about me beforehand. So when we were going into the room where the idols were he brought me straight to her!!!! The second I saw her I just bawled my eyes out! She got right up from where she was sitting and came over and gave me a hug saying, "Awwwww don;t cry!!" She was sooooooo sweet!!!! She then told me how she saw my poster, and that I was the one she was waving to during PDSTM!! I nearly died! I got a couple of pictures with her and then when she was signing my pictures i asked if she had gotten my gift. She was like no and asked who I gave it to, and once I told her she was lik, "Ugh they must have put it on the bus!" and then she gave the most adorable angry face ever over towards the door! It was so funny! She is soooooo gorgeous in person, even more so than in pictures, and she really has lost a lot of weight and looks even better than from Idol days (where she still looked stunning!) So after I was done talking with Carly, I thanked her and then went over to Ramiele. She is TINY!!! I could ot believe how small she was, she comes up to my chin!! I got an autograph and a picture with her, then moved on to Syesha. Im not a big fan of hers but got a pic and autograph from her anyways, she was not talking at all because she was saving her voice, but I was ok with that. Then I turned around and Jason was just standing there, so I went up and took another picture with him. I went to Brooke next and asked for a picture with her, after I got one she signed inside my program and said, "Do you want a picture?!" I said sure, and then she said, "Oh wait we just took one didnt we!?" I said yeah but its cool, and she was like"haha sorry short term memory loss here!" She is soooo sweet! I walked over to Archie, whom I now love, and he signed my program, and as he was doing it he started a conversation with me, then when he looked up he was like, "Hey I just saw you out there! I touched your hand!" I was like yup! and we were both laughing in our picture together!! He is soooo cute! Then MJ walked in so I went straight for him! He signed my program and I got a pic with him too *squee* he is so gorgeous, lol. When I walked back out into the hallway I saw Michael LaMelle ther talking with my mom, and I thanked him over and over again, and I asked him if Carly was going to come back. He said no, but he had just talked with her and she said that I was "precious" I was close to dying, again!! Then I looked down the hallway and saw her walking out towards the busses and I quietly said bye Carly!!! Then as Michel, his son Michael, My mom and I were walking out LaMelle was telling my mom about the Providence Rhode Island show, and how we should go!!! We might do it!! I really hope so!!!!!!!!!!!

So this was definetly the greatest experience of my life!!! And I hope that i will get to go see them all again in september!!!!!

I was at the show in Manchester. I was outside "stalking the buses" before the show and was standing next to a mother and daughter who were Carly fans. They were wearing green shirts, nail polish, bracelets, everything. They are seen in this video on Youtube:

I was wondering if anyone knows if they post here? I'm a huge Jason fan (I'm wearing the light blue tank top in the same video right in front of the person who was taping). These ladies took quite a few pictures of Jason and I. I gave them my email, but I think they may have lost it. Anyway, any help in locating these lovely ladies, who have pics of me and Jason, would be greatly appreciated!

PS I love Carly, too!

Are you the one that I talked to when we were sitting on the ground before they put the barracades up?? I know the girl I am talking about went to the afterparty too! I have a bunch of Jason pictures if you want them, but Im not sure if those two are on here or not, but I saw them at the concert!
