Do you guys like Carly with reddish/auburn hair or the darker style she wears now? The kinky curls or straight locks? The midriff-baring tops or the uniquely sophisticated mostly-all-black wardrobe of today?

Personally, I have gotten quite addicted to the Carly of AI fame that we've come to know and love so much. I seem to be attracted to a "darker" look anyway, so I do adore Carly with her dark, straight hair and her wardrobe that is consistantly darker-hued and always accessorized with a pair of black tights! Although I think she looks stunning in blue (Come Together) and should wear those bright colors more often. They only enhance the striking allure of her eyes and contrast very appealingly with her darker hair. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see Carly leave her hair natually curly one day so we can see how cute she inevitably will be!

How do you imagine that Carly's "new sound" might affect her current look? Or vice versa? And while we're on the subject, what do you think her future "sound" will be? Will it reflect the Carly we saw on Idol (we all know the *real* Carly came out for Crazy On You & Come Together) or will there be a whole new sound for her album, considering she plans on writing a lot of the material herself. That is, if she gets her way! And let's cross our fingers that she does!!!!

I second that. She was extra cute back in the day, but I love her dark hair & tattoos. I think that "today's" Carly has done a lot more living and knows a lot more about the world and that adds to her appeal and abilities.

I love both of Carly's looks but younger Carly seems like a different person than older Carly to me.

well that makes sense because when i look back at pictures of me when i was 17, 18-yrs old it seems like some other girl i hardly recognize as myself. so much living happens in your twenties. and especially with Carly...she has even more experience with hard-knocks then some because she saw her dream come true only to have it taken away from her in the blink of an eye. i imagine something like that can really disillusion you. anyway, i just remember when i was that age i thought i knew who i was and what i wanted out of life. but the truth is i had no clue and at 28 i've just started to figure things out and things just sort of fall into place...I'm sure 17-yr old Carly had no idea that she would one day have an assortment of tattoos all over her body or that she would be comfortable in her own skin instead of trying to fit into someone else's mold. i LOVE LOVE LOVE that about her, btw. Carly is really comfortable with who she is and she won't let someone else tell her she should be different. love it.

Definitely the current, sophisticated but edgy look with dark hair and tattoos. That style suits her so well with those bright blue eyes. She looks much more interesting and captivating and BEAUTIFUL now. Also the fact that she's more mature now adds to her charisma.

I agree. I also like her with the few extra pounds. She was too thin back in the day.

i dont think she was *too* thin during her Ultimate High days, but I definitely think she has grown into an extremely beautiful woman now. And yes, I do agree that her "few extra pounds" give her a much healthier, vibrant and alive appeal. Carly is perfect! :)
