The TV Guide Channel is airing the Season 5 Vegas Auditions on American Idol Rewind this weekend and Carly's first audition is gonna air. Here's the schedule :

I saw the episode this afternoon and recorded it with my DVD recorder. I'm not sure if I can upload it to my computer but if not, I'll try to record it with my digital camera and upload tomorrow. I can't promise anything but I'm gonna try. :)

BTW-she sounded wonderful and the judges loved her. I agree with Simon-the first audition was better than the second one. I guess she was just more relaxed and not so nervous. She was cute in her clip before the audition-her accent seemed a little stronger too. Great audition!!!

Just had a chance to see this and I thought that both auditions (5th season and 7th) were great and remarkably similar though not identical.

She went a little higher with her voice in season 5 and used a few more vocal flourishes, but other then that, I think they were remarkably similar.

Also she did seem less nervous back then & less emotional when she got her ticket. After she thanked the judges (and Simon joked about Europeans upping the level of the competition) she just got her ticket and walked right out the door and was ready to leave. B)
