Title: the truth about Idol

Have you ever wondered whether some of the things you see on Idol are real or not? Well guess what? I've learned that in spite of being touted as a reality show, a lot of the things they show are not real but rather revised by the editors from what really happened. In fact, here's a video you should check out. It's almost 20 minutes long but very informative. You'll here firsthand from Nick Zitzmann, a software engineer from Midvale, Utah, whom you might remember butchering Unchained Melody in the Seattle auditions in Season 6. He tells you about his musical background, his complete experience on the show, and gives helpful insight into what they didn't show you on TV. You'll also hear about what he ended up doing after his audition aired. I hope you enjoy it.

It's pretty clear none of it's real - even at the end of the credits for every episode there's a disclaimer that 'portions of this broadcast not affecting the outcome have been edited'.

It's TV, it's never going to be real.
