I'll just post my Carly stuff :)

We waited out by the buses because last year we learned that this was the way to meet the idols! While we were sitting there with our box of gifts we met some other Carly fans! (Who turned out to be Cherly and Melanie..love you girls!). Carly came outside and our little group went crazy, especially the boy who had Carly's name tattooed on his chest. When Carly came to me I gave her my gift and she opened it right in front of me! I had given her a Celtic Journal and a little plaque in an Irish blessing on it. Carly loved her gifts and said she didn't have a journal and that she was going to put my plaque in her tattoo shop. She gave me a hug and talked to the other Carly fans. :D

As Kristy Lee Cook went down the elevator, I started screaming as loud as I could because I knew who was coming next. Lights down, music up, here comes Carly up the elevator, singing Bring Me to Life. With the fans blowing her hair, background singers powerfully backing her up, and the green lights surrounding her, Carly sang her heart out. I almost started crying because I was so happy to see her up there doing her thing. Then Carly came down the stairs and kneeled on the ground to perform her second song. She introduced it by saying "this next song is by one of my favorite bands, Heart, and I performed it on the show". The crowd went wild! The opening notes of "Crazy on You" made me stop everything I was doing (frantically texting, taking pictures, and holding up my sign) because I was in awe of her. Carly seemed to have a lot of fun doing that song, and the fans reacted very well. Finally, Carly ended her set by doing "I Drove All Night" she seemed to love doing this song to, and had a lot of crowd interaction. She could hold the notes longer than I'd heard anyone in the concert do so far! Carly introduced Brooke and off she was!

At the afterparty, there were a table of people for Carly, so we decided to let them have their time with her and we'd go to her at the end. As we were walking towards the table, talking and laughing about something Chikezie had said to us, we literally ran into Carly. She remembered us from earlier and said "I'm so glad you guys got in!". She told us to meet her back at her table because she had to go take a group photo. She was back quickly, and we took pictures with her. She gave us hugs and when we told her we'd be in Detroit she got really excited! Carly helped make our first Idol tour stop of the summer very special!

you were in the lines to meet the idols before the show? were you about half (ish) down the line? i saw some carly fans there but i dont really know anyone good enough from here to go and talk to them. i met up with some dreadheads where jason was making his vlog for the week.

yep! there were a group of us down there. i was standing in between my 2 friends- one was wearing white for archie and one was wearing red for cook. there i was with all my green! :D i loved that jason did his video blog outside!
