I was happy she got some camera time last night at the finale.... although i wished she had more of a chance to show her vocal skills... that duet didn't really allow her to do so.... when she did finally hit her stride and started hitting those high notes it was drowned out since everyone else was singing..

anyway... she also looked stunning last night... like seriously.... the camera loves her... wow....


I'll just be posting some updates about AG in this thread as they come up for anyone who is interested.

I really loved her bluesy, soulful and unique voice... i thought she was a true artist but she barely got a chance to showcase her talents this year and it's such a shame. What SHOULD have been a longer AI run was cut drastically short... with losing that exposure and not making the tour... it's gonna be tough for her to get a record deal (does anyone know any previous idols who didn't make the tour, but then went on to get any success post-idol??). She certainly has the talent for it.... but exposure is key... and the music biz is tough... I REALLY hope she gets a break and someone picks her... she's got some powerful determination in her that's for sure... and I admire that about her. Can you believe she tried out for idol THREE times?? finally she makes it on this year... but then just barely misses the tour... and even then she was (as always) very thankful.... i was shocked at how much poise and grace (no pun intended) she displayed after that terrible elimination. And it was great to hear her post-elimination comments about really not giving up and wanting to push for that record deal and wanting to start with a small fanbase, keep them updated and then build from there. Perhaps she could do what Josia Lemming did last year and write her own songs and then post them on the net for some exposure. I really think she's got a great personality: very humble, sweet, soft-spoken, shy, and always thankful.

What made things so bad about her elimination ... was that she got the royal shaft...i don't recall any other AI contestant getting as big of a shaft as she did: I challenge you to find me a contestant who (as a result of the judges’ mistakes) had a stigma attached to their character that (lingers on even post-idol and still turns people off), that cost her some fans and possibly (likely based on inductive logic) cost her the top ten spot (making her the contender who just barely missed the tour as the 11th finalist). In addition to all that, find a contestant that also had their earned credit reaped away from them after their elimination through blatantly false statements. It was pretty bad.

Anyways Go Alexis!!! i really wish all decent people could do something with their lives that makes them happy, fulfilled and confident... Alexis certainly seems like a great gal.. and she's got some talent... so good luck to her!!
