I had a thought - how about somebody creating an official banner for Carly's presence on twitter complete with links and so on. Or possibly a modified myspace banner that also includes the twitter address.

I know we have some creative artists here who could put something together.

I'm guessing we'd want to ok it with The Powers That Be at Carly's official page & Carly herself to see if such a project is ok with them & if it is, to get their approval of the design.

If we could do it, we could put it up all over myspace and soon have legions of Carly "followers".

I like the idea, I don't consider myself that great, but everyone else seems to like my work, so I'd create a couple things.

I was thinking we could have a few different samples with the same dimensions as the myspace banners - maybe some that advertise both the myspace and twitter & one with just twitter. I don't have any examples but it might be worth seeing what other artists have done...

For example check out Brooke White - she has a nice one on her myspace page.

Then maybe a vote & we could submit our favorites to Carly & her camp & see what they think...just thinking out load here...

Anyway first things first - can't wait to see what you guys have in mind...

Ok I don't see any other submissions, so what does everyone think of the possible twitter/myspace banners? I like the first and also the third (twitter only) banners.

If I had to pick I would pick the third.

I just wanted to add a couple of things we should keep in mind for this.

We should make sure the designs are linkable - that is can act as links to twitter or myspace.

With that in mind, I am leaning toward the idea of a banner for twitter only.

Also please keep the graphics in proper proportion to avoid any distortion.

I think your submission looked great - as for distortion I didn't think you had any, just wanted to put it out there as a general reminder. (Not that I know much about design or art or .... anything really.. :rolleyes: )

And I think we want to keep the URL even if the banner is linkable - if the link doesn't work then they know where to go. I think it can be in smaller less-obvious type, though - the key words are Carly and Smithson B)

pretty sure you paste it into the "About Me" section. just be sure not to paste it over anything else, just ammend it.

and I think you can paste it into a message too.

you can post it anywhere on myspace. unless you have a div layout like nancy. then you have to put it in your about me.

no nancy. you can't make a banner itself a clickable link, you have to do it with html code. the code jennie posted does that. the banner itself is nothing but an image.
